Regarding tourist visa for Indian passport

Good day , Thank you for your kind response yesterday regarding visa application number 2469 in the name of my daughter, Malak Abdelraouf Mohamed Abu Taleb, for the purpose of training with an international student organisation in Tunisia. The problem is that she has already booked her flight tickets (return) and paid for them in full. She is supposed to depart from Cairo Airport to Tunisia at dawn on Sunday, 29 June. As of today, at 3 p.m., her visa has not been issued. A copy of her passport is attached. We greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to your prompt response. Do not trust the so-called “visa on arrival” for GCC residents in Tunisia. If you don’t get a visa in advance, you’re setting yourself up for hours of pointless waiting and frustration. The immigration system in Tunis is hopelessly archaic—at least a century behind Dubai or any other GCC country. Here’s my experience: I traveled from Dubai to Algiers, then needed to get to Casablanca. With no direct flights from Algiers to Casa, I booked via Tunis—arriving at 9 am on Air Algerie, with a 13 hour layover before my 10:30 pm Tunisair flight to Casablanca. My plan was to leave the airport, meet a friend, have lunch, see the city, and return for my next flight. It was a disaster from the start. Not a single immigration officer spoke a word of English. If you try, they stare at you like you’re from another planet—zero professionalism, zero hospitality. I was made to wait four hours, only to be told I couldn’t get a visa because my purpose wasn’t “tourism.” There was just one person processing visas, and a lady she couldn’t care less—glued to her phone, barely responding to any questions. I was forced to spend 13 miserable hours in Tunis airport, which is filthy, outdated, and utterly depressing. The only restaurant took 45 minutes to serve basic food. The lounge? Off-limits unless your flight is within three hours. The bathrooms are disgusting and reek everywhere. Tunisia’s airport staff are slow, unhelpful, and seem completely out of touch with international standards. If you value your time and dignity, avoid this country for tourism. If you have no choice, get your visa in advance and arrive at least three hours before your flight—everything here moves at a snail’s pace. I hold US, UK, and Schengen visas, plus a UAE Golden Residency. I get visas on arrival in minutes in places like Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Hong Kong, Maldives, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Tunisia, on the other hand, gave me the worst travel experience of my life. Avoid if you can.
